HDC offer a bar code artwork service for all your Optical Media and packaging requirements.
Take advantage of our knowledge and expertise in creating and effectively integrating a bar code into your product design, allowing it be appropriately used within the retail market.
First you must purchase your own bar code number from a reputable bar code company such as GS1 UK, who will register it on your behalf.
Our bar code service includes:
- The creation of a bar code image in the correct layout as vector/scaleable artwork
- Effectively incorporating the bar code into your packaging artwork to comply with scanning guidelines.
The accuracy of bar codes remains fundamentally important because when it fails to scan, it is time consuming to manually type in the number. At worst this reflects poorly on the goods as it looks unprofessional.
Who is GS1 UK?
GS1 UK is part of the worldwide GS1 network and trades as a not-for-profit business association with over 17,000 members.
Bar codes used in open trade must meet the requirements of the EAN UCC System which is managed globally by GS1. In the UK these GS1 standards are promoted by GS1 UK.
